After weeks of hard work behind the scenes, we are finally able to share with you the full story of #OpenForAllAU!
Today we launch our campaign to keep Australian businesses open to everyone, regardless of vaccination status.
Our campaign is inspired by a similar movement overseas. We loved the intention behind the UK version, but it focuses mainly on the events industry. We wanted to open the Australian version up to ALL business types, as well as community groups, religious organisations and medical services.
We also knew that for the project to be of any practical use for consumers, we had to go a step further than listing pledges. We had to make it possible to search for participating businesses by type and location… and so the idea of an online directory was born.
We’ve been blown away by the support we’ve received before we started making any real noise… 1600+ followers on Twitter and hundreds more on Facebook before www.openforall.com.au went live!
THANK YOU for your support.
But the hard work is far from over.
Over the next two weeks, www.openforall.com.au will be open for business registrations before the directory goes live on 27 September.
We need your help to spread the word. Please download & print our Flyers, then deliver them to business owners in your local area. Let them know your personal thoughts on this issue. Silence implies consent; so if we don’t speak up, business owners may think we’re quite happy to go along with the ‘vaccine passport’ scheme none of us voted for.
If there has ever been a time to make our voices heard, it’s now.
